What's for dinner tonight ?

Tried out a wireless thermometer on a Buffalo roast. I figured I was cooking it too long and I was right. I’d pull it out at 140 degrees next time.

Wireless thermometer would lose signal if I had a lid on the crock pot so that’s a bit of a downer. And you have to keep your phone pretty close to the stove to get signal. It’s a cool idea though to have your thermometer in the meat in the oven and give all the info to your phone

Is that the Meater one?

This one is the Stake. It was the one I could find locally. I had to get one quickly when I saw them haha. Id give the Meater one a try next time. The case of the Meater is a wifi repeater so you get some more range
Oh wow I had no idea, cool. I've had the Webber igrill for a long time and it's pretty good. Bluetooth so limited range and its wired sensors. Came with three meat probes and a cooker one. I'm just used to closing the door on the wires, doesn't seem to hurt it.

Yeah I use the same things usually. I wanted to try these things out because I want to be able to throw something on at the cabin and forget about it for an hour until my phone tells me it’s done and what temperature it’s at. I think the Meater is the way to go.

Pretty cool technology though. Charges in 3 minutes and last like 4 hours in the meat. It works on a resistor instead of a battery I guess.

I'll give them a try someday for sure. Very cool.
