Seasport skipper 19 podding project

If it makes you feel any better 21 foot silver streak is over 200k after taxes. No cuddy.

I personally think it’s way better to invest in the boat you know then buy an old boat and then have to do things like this.
That does make me feel better, thank you. I hear what you’re saying about new boats. If you want a new Seasport 24 they are $250k plus. Not sure what a 22’ would be but likely not much different and they are hard to get. Anyways, I’ll be able to call mine a 22’ soon enough 😜.

Anyone have suggestions on boarding ladder for the swim grid portion of the pod?
I’m thinking telescoping that installs under the swim grid.
Any brands that are preferred?
Would it be wise to have the pod fabricator weld a couple of grab handles on top of the swim grid to aid in boarding when using the ladder?

I see you installed it off the back instead of the side. It looks like it works nice. I’ve always been thinking they go out the side but that looks like a good way to go.
I installed the same one on my pod, but to the side. I had to make some modifcations with wood under there to make it match the holes in the pod. I'd recommend to side mount it, as I use it to get on and off the boat when launching at the ramp.
