Lack of enforcment....complete joke

Some of you guys need to chill a bit. Some mentioned it in earlier post as a "perk" and I couldn't agree more. You ask these guys to come to these remote $hitty towns to police year round and for what? Its not for the lovely ladies in them thats forsure. If taking the company boat out the odd time on their own time is a perk then so be it, it probobly beats the alternative.

Profisher makes a good point, it does take time to build these cases (although I doubt thats what they are doing in this picture) The reality of policing in this day and age is that many laws such as the new charter laws or other minor by-laws can only be enforced by the presiding agency. Be it Transport Canada, DFO, or a local by-law enforcement. The police are too busy and aren't properly educated to enforce these laws. Imagine if a guy wasted a full day investigating one of these charter operators and came back to the office at the end of the day with a ticket in his hand to show his boss that he had written the charter operator. I would imagine the boss would be less than happy that the guy spent his time this way with all of the other criminal isses happening within the community. Think of it like a private sector, this is a complete lack of productivity.

Just my 2 cents

Were taxed at every turn because there no money the goverment says and then these special groups take avantage of taxpayers is shamefull. RCMP are a corupt as the rest of these groups and see taxpayers as cash cows ,buy your own boat you losers

The law is the law and they need to enforce it. Like I said before, they were informed of location dates and time. All they had to do was drive to the ramp and bust them. Would not have taken all day to write the ticketand from what I understand there are some 'HUGE' fines involved.

As for perks of the job, these RCMP boys get into their jobs because they want to. We do not kiss their a$$es to come to small towns, and should not have to give perks for them to come, they made the choice to get into their profession. Yes I know it is a thankless job, have a family member that has been in the force for 10 yrs. Lots of pros and cons but he got in because he wanted to, not for these so called perks.
