I finally got my C# for my guide boat, I started in April when I took possession of the rig. Not that it really matters if you walk down 'guide row' in a place like Ukee. Some of the 'guide' boats are clearly non-compliant in many regards. A prominent operator does not even have ANY numbers let alone a C# on his boat. There is 1 operator there with a blue inspection sticker.
You gotta remember too... The RCMP is only mandated in certain areas to enforce and Fisheries is NOT one of their per views. Same goes if an RC or Fisheries came to check my boat for compliance, I would tell him to kindly get lost, or prove to me he has the authorization to check me. That is Transport Canada which farmed that out to the CCG. Gotta know the laws in this country and whom the jurisdiction belongs to.
