Everybody has their own personal spin/therory on halibut anchoring techniques - perhaps you can enlighten us with your own anchoring particulars to the 1000? locations mentioned or should i say not mentioned on this forum500feet of anchor line -no wonder you have problems your drifting all over the place

After further checking my Power Squadron Manual Lol... the required scope is 6 - 1i do not think you understand anchoring....600' is pretty much standard...
I always buy shooting flares and just waiting to use all my expired ones for this reason. So far haven't had a reason to light up anyone yet.LOLEveryone should have bottle rockets or slingshots or lots of lead balls on hand just for this reason. I almost feel bad for anyone that tries to anchor within range of me... Had to pop off a few in the past and let's just say they don't continue to set anchor and if they ever do I'm sure they will be moving fast lol
Here you go guys, this'll give you somthing to build in your free time and ammo is cheap!
Enjoy!

carefully consider what you may bring down on your head should you start shooting whatever at other human beings.
this coming from an american....LOL
i suppose common sense is not a canadian thing! pretty sad post trophywife.
i have no idea what you are talking about trophywife.
sorry that i found humor in the irony that an American was warning people to watch out for what they shoot at others,, my apologies, really....

mAYBE THE WARNING WAS TO THE EFFECT THAT YOU MAY SHOOT A POTATO AT SOMEBODY AND THEY MAY REPLY WITH A SMALLER BUT MORE DEADLY CALIBRE? I am a Canadian vetran and it might be news to you, but we tend to be shooting at others in the world as we speak. it would be wise to google "sniper" and check out how far we can shoot a .50 cal in aphganistan...a little further than a potato. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbzVpcTrQb4

Who carries a .50 cal on their boat? It would take some balls and a little stupidity to blast a potato at a fellow fisher, regardless of the reason, but it takes a nut job to fire back with a fire arm. Maybe that **** does down in Pudget Sound, but not Race Rocks.
