Double Eagle 185 Build

Seat boxes are coming along... just messing with some options to fasten without blasting holes in my new floor.Press on......

I glassed my seat boxes in. Lots of tabbing and no worries of water intrusion. Along with my theory of no screws in structure, I glassed in blocks for anything to be mounted on floor or transom. Night switch, racor, cannonball holders…..

I think I’m going to glass in “angle glass” ( make up 2” glass angle) onto floor then sleeve boxes over and thru bolt… caulk seam after. I’de like to have the option of pulling saddle tanks if needed.

No wonder these projects take years lol

Fitted the interior... ripped it all apart including roof (raising the roof), made up some angle glass for seat box fastening... been glassing/ fairing/gelcoating seat boxes.... and even found a day to go fishing. Pressing on......

These are the patterns created when you use epoxy fairing over polyester glass…then gelcoat. The pattern is created after dumping excessive amounts of acetone on the uncured goo in an effort to remove… a stunning nightmare is the result. FML.
