Oh ok I see . Yeah the issue is the decks are actually a bit too high. Dropping them a bit would still allow the boat to be self bailing and also make the step into the cabin much shorter. It’s an expensive modification but would make a big difference .Was not aware. All of the talk about raising the deck, I thought that was so there could be a self bailing feature. Thanks.
I bet that will take more than 5 minutes. But getting a deeper cockpit without sacrificing self-bailing sounds like a worthwhile investment in safety and comfort.Besides, I’m half way done lowering the deck, only took me 5 mins to cut it out, now just need to put it in
Yep. The only reason they were that high was for engine room. No engines, no problemo.I bet that will take more than 5 minutes. But getting a deeper cockpit without sacrificing self-bailing sounds like a worthwhile investment in safety and comfort.
He’s not raising the deck. He’s lowering it. So there’s no step to get into the cockpit. And will still be above water lineWas not aware. All of the talk about raising the deck, I thought that was so there could be a self bailing feature. Thanks.
I should read the whole thread before replying lol. Sounds like everyone nailed it. Lower that deck. He’s not raising the deck. He’s lowering it. So there’s no step to get into the cockpit. And will still be above water line
Oh for sure, should be lots of storage spaceSo much easier to go in the cabin door. Will you have storage under the deck?
