Still lots of $ for that boat, once you import , still close to 30k. I am sure glad I got mine when I got it, when I was looking a few years back you can get some bigger gradys and pursuit with 2 strokes for a bit more then 20k US, Florida hell there was a 2470 pursuit with a 300 yammy 4 stroke with low hrs for 30kThe CDN dollar is getting stronger. I believe these well cared for WA State boats will be the place to look, especially when the border does open up.

Yup 1.5$ should do it, if you pick it up yourself . I paid 22kUS 29k Can, plus survey and taxes and inspections on the trailer got mine at my house for about 32k. For a re-re podded wellcraft(solid) with a dreaded Honda four stroke with less than 400hrs( and all the goodys you can think of came with the boatPosted as an example more than anything.
What multiplication factor are you using today to get a boat here from the northwest US? Isn't 1.50 enough, all in? I used to do daily/weekly based on a $10,000 US purchase price, and then I had a multiplier to use for any price. (eg...10K US boat landed here was $13,949 CND. A 28K US boat was multiplied by 1.3949 across the board) Transportation, survey not included. That is the unknown. I drove my last imported boat up from Ballard, through the locks and home.

this is a beautiful boat, i was on it yesturday and is unreal
Unbelievable price! Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for, the neighbours 2359 sold a few months ago for $45k with more electronics and goodies, same engine and dual prop and in mint condition. He admitted it was overpriced at $45 and only worth mid to high $30's...That's your boat right there. At it's real price of 35k though
It was worth $45k and worth even more now. Even that 1991 trophy for 41k is now worth it, considering you can buy the 18k one in the US with a new hull, then put newer 4 stroke power on it and a trailer and be into it for 50k CAD plus taxes. Inflation in action here, wood does not have a lot of substitutes and boats as well. Labour is going up as well, we don't have great substitutes and CERB is going until 2021 driving up labour cost at the bottom end and even skilled Canadian workers resist productivity changes. I've been pulling my hair out the last two weeks trying to get my team to embrace new technology since we do very little with way to much expensive labour!Unbelievable price! 100% Agreed! There's no reason for boat, RV, truck or ATV prices to go down in the foreseeable future. Our economy is pretty fu*ked up and JT seems to not have a clear plan as to when things will be opening up and people go back to work. The only variable that may balance out the price pressure is if some people trust to buy a boat sight unseen from the US or wait until the borders re-open and that doesn't seem entirely possible until late summer. It was worth $45k and worth even more now. The parts that go into new boats are all more expensive and almost all new inventory is gone. If you can get a BC custom builder to do an Aluminum or Fiberglass build for you before their labour costs go up do it! Jaxoncraft and Monaro's seem like steal's to me considering what a new Grady, or Seasport would cost.
Then there would be two more mainlanders on the island competing for fish!100% Agreed! There's no reason for boat, RV, truck or ATV prices to go down in the foreseeable future. You just hire me and @ab1752 and we'll fix that problem for ya.![]()
I agree with your comments. I keep reading complaints that boats are priced too high but that’s the market and if you want a decent boat, it’s gonna cost you. (Although I still do see some stupid prices for old bayliners) Stop complaining and bashing boat prices - if you can’t afford it, move on or wait a year. Boats are expensive period. If you’re looking for a cheap deal, you’re probably gonna get what you paid for and spend a lot more $$ down the road for repairs and upgrades. It’s not going to get cheaper if you wait and you won’t be on the water this summer if you keep waiting and complaining about prices. It was worth $45k and worth even more now.
