the liability issues…can you imagineSomeone on a FB page I am on is suggesting this get turned into housing for the homeless. My goodness.
Lots of hourstons and likewise been doing charters for years. I've seen the self bailing deck turn into a liability too when there's 5 guys and a days catch on the back deck.@advTHXance mentioned that he might want to do charters with his build a few years ago so it had to have self bailing. There was criteria that needed to be met.
Seems to be a more seaworthy design than the current ones. The Coho (similar design) claims only one weather related cancellation ever and that was in 1996 because Victoria had the mega dump of snow and had nothing to do with the crossing just nobody could get to the dock in Victoria.I’ve been on worse BC Ferries!

My great uncle in Seattle worked the designing the Coho ferry hull.Seems to be a more seaworthy design than the current ones. I think in one of his ads he posted 10.5 beam? I looked again but couldn’t find it. Permit needed at least or possibly a pilot car.100k with a trailer. Odd to see a well know charter boat without commercial numbers
70k, 800 hrs ago. That boat has been finished hard and is 30+ years old.. pricey imo.I think in one of his ads he posted 10.5 beam? I looked again but couldn’t find it. Permit needed at least or possibly a pilot car.
Not cheap but that motor package would be close to 70k installed?

Piggy’s Back was at Burrard Civic all winter and was for sale a few years ago for a higher price. Maybe now that they priced it closer to the Coast Guard version that sold right away, they will have a sale.23' Hourston Glascraft Sedan - Thunderbird Marine
