Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Any thoughts on those bridgeview hulls from motion marine / QCL? I spoke with James, he said the hulls are average build, have some repaired damages like cracks in hull, patches etc.

They have sold 9 of the 12 .. so I’d have to get up there this weekend to pick it up.

Do you think they crack because of misuse or the hulls might just be a little cheap.. ?

Primarily looking to use as an island commuter to a beach access piece of land.
It would be a perfect boat for that! Long stuff can fit nicely down the sides of cc, plus you wont sweat it beaching it cause they're already scratched! The T-top and windshield are so nice to have as well.
Dooo it! Lol.

Before anyone drives to Rupert with hopes of an epic deal, I'll give my experience with rhese.

I had the opportunity to run these 13 years ago. They are the worst riding boat I've ever been in. I'd take a 17 montauk over these any day. The old bridgeview 17 was a better boat. The 18 a much better boat. The motion marine liked to crack welds and ran like a board. They are more of a riverboat if I remember correctly. Minimal aft deadrise and would run bow up for ever. Might be they were grossly underpowered but I'd worry about adding weight back there too. I would think they would be real beaten by now. My 2c.

You've gotta remember you're talking about these boats guiding full time in some of the ugliest water on the coast. Most guys who buy these are going to bomb around with the family on a calm weekend. It's also not really fair to compare an $85,000 Bridgeview setup that is in a different price category. I've had a ton of buddies guide these boats for years in some pretty ugly water and they all agreed they ride rough but they're a solid fishing platform. For 25-30k and you've got a fun 22ft aluminum to bomb around on in nice weather. No idea what I'm going to do with it but looking forward to fixing it up.
