Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Nice little hourston with new power.

Great set up, saw it and noticed transom repair. Thorough survey if interested, plus the exhaust kit is done but you’d want to go deeper to check for any block corrosion.
I have pictures of the block if someone wants them, no corrosion. I also have a survey from three years ago someplace but many upgrades have been done since then.

Be nice to know details like beam, loa, but I guess if I have to ask I can't afford it :)

I intend to buy this boat from Seattle.
Does someone know what are the fees/costs to bring it to Victoria?
Conversion to US $ then tax at the border, can’t remember if it was pst+ Gst but on a 22kUS boat cost was 3800Ca at the border crossing, this was in 2016

You'll also need to take the trailer to licensed inspection facility for inspection. I took one to Canadian Tire once. They just looked at the VIN and stamped it. 225 bucks or so. The tricky part is figuring out how insure the trailer during transport through Washington. You will most likely need to speak to your insurance agent and get a 'binder' policy that will cover you until you get the trailer back, registered in your name, and insured.

If the seller is willing to leave the “valid” license plates on the trailer, you’d be covered for the transport. If not, get the binder as suggested above. You can also buy a 1-day insurance in the States which will cover you for the transport to your local inspection shop. You can drop in most local grocery stores and but the policy, as long as you have the trailer’s VIN and model.

My insurance guy, made a binder that was good for transport from purchase place to back to canada

My insurance guy (Johnston Meier Metrotown) was absolutely useless in giving me any help. I’ve bought two boats from the States and both owners were ok with leaving the plates on the trailer. Just needed to mail the plates back to them.
