Here are my ideal numbers for singles.
16’/ 70-90
17’/ 115-135
18-19/150
20-21/175-200
22-23/ 225-250
25-26/ 300-350
I don’t have much experience with twins but the word I’ve heard from the streets is that counter rotating twins are more efficient than a single of the same power, so... if I were talking about, oh,I don’t know.... A 26 HOURSTON... I’d go with twin 150’s. Also depends on your pod style and how much rot is in your transomHey what would this chart look like with twins rather than singles?

26 Hourston Flybridge on a tandem trailer.
Repowered with a 325hp 383cu windsor small block. Volvo DP-E duoprop.
Interior reupholstered 4 years ago.
Stove, sink, head, bbq, gas detector, flares, marine radio, lorance chart plotter, complete cockpit enclosure canvas, yamaha 9.9 kicker, hydraulic steering for the kicker.
Set up for fishing, crabbing and overnighting.
I love this boat, had it 8 years, and the family and I have enjoyed it immensely. But it getting too small, and the kids are growing too fast.
This boat isnt perfect, it has scatches and dings to the gel coat. But it handles all kinds of weather and is very fuel effecient.
This won't last long

$13,500. Good motor/kicker combo.
The lift you get from the counter rotating twins creates the efficiencyI don’t have much experience with twins but the word I’ve heard from the streets is that counter rotating twins are more efficient than a single of the same power, so... if I were talking about, oh,I don’t know.... Scary illegal trailer, just keep in mind but you are paying for the boat and it's priced almost like the trailer is free.

Looks like a rebuild, this is an email reply from seller:
"When installing the duoprop a new hole had to be cut to allow the larger transom plate. The wood was found to be wet as originally the cut hole did not get glassed in. The transom was dried, tested and in two locations resin was injected. The new hole was then glassed in. The swim grid mounts were removed, inspected, repaired and re installed.
The trailer has working hydraulic brakes, and some new brake lines.
Both axles have been replaced.
Its a 6 bolt hub welded to 2x4 HSS.
That being said, lights dont work and its not much to look at, but it carries the boat well."
soft transomThe motors are nice. The aluminum backing plate on the transom is a bonus! Or a warning sign?!
