Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

A 14 foot sabicraft with no canvas and tiny kicker and a 40 or 50hp would be about that price new with the chart plotter and downriggers I’d think.

At least it’s got a 115hp should be the right engine for her?
Power is right. Price is ast least 10k too high.

Dime a dozen hull. Not likely to sell near ask.
They come up with considerably newer power at that price point.

If you’re going trophy, I’d hold off for something in the 2000’s so it’s not rotten wood. And I’d like a newer motor and better electronics for that price

It does look clean and well kept though.

The itch is strong... It sure if it'll win this spring, but starting to consider a decent 16-17' boat for running on a trailer. That Double Eagle a week or so ago for $23k with newish power was of interest for sure. Something like that may make me scratch the itch.

Surveyors are usually up to speed on what certain brands have as a consistent problem, but on this one I’ve seen a number of them with external fuel tanks added because the internal tank leaks. So at least keep that top of mine to be super diligent on the built-in fuel tank.

I have a 2005 1802. I absolutely love it. Perfect all-around boat, easy to trailer, good on fuel with a large fuel tank. 52 gal gives you a good range. It’s one of the bigger-feeling 18’ boats out there, in my opinion. That being said, I would 100% look for a 2000 and newer Trophy. No wood stringers, poly fuel tank, just some of the major updates. Bought mine during Covid for $23k but have since then added a new main motor, kicker, radar arch, full rewire, etc. I’m into it for a lot more than I could sell it for, but I would do it all over again. It’s been a great boat for my needs, taken me all over WCVI. If you have any questions about these boats send me a PM!

Ahh thanks I didn't see that.
He's updated the ad, there is some damage actually to the bottom of the hull you can see plates welded on as repair in last photo.
Huge bang-for-buck on this thing. A 150 would be overkill. A 90 or 115 would be more than adequate.

Looks like a lake or river boat based on the deadrise, but would track nicely with those bottom strakes (similar to what Lifetimer uses). I wonder if it used to have a jet on it? If I was a buyer, the main thing to confirm would be hull plate thickness and flotation. 3/16" bottom would be nice, but 1/8" would borderline. Check the inside: if its got ancient spray foam, might be a hard pass without diligent investigation to confirm there isn't corrosion. They definitely would have had to cut back the foam to do those patch welds. Hopefully its just rigid pieces of EPS

Interesting design. You can see that its a self draining deck with scuppers and is setup with high sides and a 25" transom. However I'm curious if the floor is fully welded or screwed down and caulked. I can see some screws, and panel seams don't appear to be welded. Definitely get under the deck to see what you are dealing with.

Anyway, 'if' it checks out this is a great platform to build out a really nice boat to whatever spec you want.

Yeah, I just don’t trust a seller who writes like that. He is trying to convince us a salt water trailer that is 10 years old is new.

Here is potentially a much better boat been for sale for a long time you could get for for 40k. I’ve messaged with her and it seems legit.

2013 Grady-White gulfstream 232 45k. I thought about buying it to flip, or selling my current boat and buying this but taxes are a killer and as much as I’d love to take my son on the adventure of a lifetime, buy it and explore Florida for a month, I don’t believe it’s the right time for me to chance holding two boats with the political situation.

If something is priced right it sells, so something seems fishy. I tried to find her on LinkedIn with no luck, also she has listings in another state not Miami so seems scammy. There are enough people looking that if a boat is a good deal it usually sells within days. Buyer beware, might be a scam.
If a boat is priced almost too good to be true and hasn't sold within days, anywhere in North America, it is probably because something is wrong with it or it's a scam.

1990 Almar Sounder with a 250 zuk for $68k usd (sorry Alaska boat).
Always like this design though I won’t be purchasing this one. I am curious if there is anything a guys needs to be specially vigilant about with a 35yr old aluminum hull. I assume age isn’t much of a factor as long as zincs are maintained (not talking about electrical and other bolt -ons)?
