Great boats but check the transom carefully. My 228 had the same and she was wet Built it to be a full transom and a bracket

I would like kaelc and others opinion on a Trophy 2352 in Port Angeles .
I am technologically challenged and can’t manage to add the link in here .
Will try and post screenshots.
TIA .

Looks like that new engine is a tad heavier than the old one lol, look at that waterline. Also, another guy listing things as “new” with 100 hours.

My biggest concern would be fuel tank in that age of boat. Hopefully poly, not aluminum.

I’m not an inboard expert. If you have a great mechanic friend who is retired, it might be worth buying, but 360 hours could be 10 years ago, so how recently were the riser etc replaced. I don’t know what to budget for inboard maintenance but parts costs have increased over the years. Another thing to look out for is transom assemblies, they rust in 15-20years.

If it matters I like the buoys and accessories it comes with and the hard top. 2 seats under cover though? You will get that with a nice 21 footer and have lower cost of ownership.

Ask how old the trailer is and how old the tires and brakes/rotors/hubs are. Might be difficult to get the safety done on the trailer, depending on the year a recall letter from the manufacture and clear photo of the vin and tire/load sticker are needed for icbc.

I personally don’t have the stomach for inboards. My brothers has been great but his maintenance costs are much more than mine. I paid more up front for outboards. When mine goes boom it’s a simple 25-30k and a 5-7 year warranty, back in the water in a week. where @wolf experience on inboards was great until it wasn’t.

Hate to be so negative.

I've never seen an older trophy that didn't sit stern heavy , i know my 2459 did

Thanks Captain Ed , is that stern heaviness much of a problem.
I never liked stern heavy especially in a self bailing deck. You will find that water is always coming in through the scuppers and pooling in the back corners, mostly when you’re back there working the lines.

mine only pooled when there was 2 guys in either corner but it was an issue. boat road and handled fine .

Will the pod add any flotation to his boat? Won't it sit or ride a bit different?
I would think it would sit and ride better depending on what pod and what engine combo.
