300k boat for 200k

JK, It’s not the 30 commanders or my wife’s fault I took my foot off the throttle with my build.
Everything is outlined in my thread, I will put 2 and 2 together for some of you guys.
Between surgery and my health issues in September I just got scared….
now I just want to enjoy my family,
Don’t give a F about building a boat anymore if it means giving up my time.

Why not just send this thing to stuarts yachts and write cheques to get this thing done? Who cares if it's not done immediately, it will be brand new once it is. You still have the other boat, right?

Ohh if only commanders were shaft running gear. 🤦‍♂️
The Volvo running gear would be my biggest concern. A friend of mine had a 27 Monaro with twin diesels. In the lower mainland it’s hard, these days, to find the right people to work on them. Stem to Stern is one. He had them do the mechanical survey. They made their recommendations and he bought it. He had them do work on it, over time. They made more recommendations, that he didn’t necessarily act on. He had to sell it for health reasons, 2 years later. When it was on the market, all potential buyers went to Stem to Stern for the mechanical(because there isn’t anyone else). They dragged out their files and used all their recommendations against him. So he had troubles selling it. Bridgeview used to do do Volvo diesel, but stopped. This seems to be the way of our society. Major brain drain….and a focus on outboards.
Shafts are better in the long run IMO. Less issues with your running gear and more people can work on that running gear.
The price and availability of VP is another conversation….

That’s a thought…
I got excited yesterday about the possibly of pulling the top and making the 26 commander into a strictly fishing boat.
Mmmmm she looks so good with her top off.
I have one forum member in mind that I would love to help me finish this commander,
Thinking about dropping it off at his house in Nanaimo with a please help note

I’m thinking to send the thunderjet right back to the dealer, selling a truck is one thing, selling a boat might take up too much of my time.

Every Commander is different. Sir Reels and mine were manufactured at the same time and we were really surprised how different they are, systems wise. Personally I am 2000+ for model year and the D-4's. Mine is a 2005. I don't know the 41's very well, but I have been told you want at least a 41P.
This one just came up with KAD44's, not sure how well the drives will handle the 260HP, but a nice boat. I still think it's worth paying a little more for D-4's, which gives you DPH drives.

There was a similar one for sale last year that didn’t sell for the longest time in Ukee? Can’t remember how much.

I’ve walked by this one at the marina where my buddy had his BW. Happy to pick you up at the ferry or seaplane and do a seatrail fish with you ;)
Photo ID? :)

Wow, that’s a beauty, clean boat, wife approved

That 30 does look nice.
I am pretty sure that those 44's pull too much hp for the block.
But at 17XX hours, they are fine. I would not run them very hard.
