Sandheads would be 29-9. Basically anything close to the mouth of the Fraser in 28 or 29 is closed for chinook. There’s closures in parts of 29-3&4 tooIs sandheads open? I cant see where is says otherwise Am I missing something?View attachment 96378
Sandheads is 29-3 and 29-4. 29-9 and 10 are always closed.Sandheads would be 29-9. Basically anything close to the mouth of the Fraser in 28 or 29 is closed for chinook. There’s closures in parts of 29-3&4 too
Oh right. The map was playing tricks on me because you can’t see the shallow bottom on the DFO map. Either way, it’s closedSandheads is 29-3 and 29-4. 29-9 and 10 are always closed

Im new to fishing and have been enjoying some great times with my son out in the boat. However im still learning so can you explain 'right rod gets the shoreline'? I know there are a lot of unspoken (or maybe loudly spoken) rules that people should know when fishing a busy area. I saw this first hand on a charter years ago fishing in front of the Cap. Thanks!I find that most guides know the way an area should be fished , which is right rod gets the shoreline. At least that’s what I have seen first hand with the guides . It’s the one guy that goes out of that rotation that screws everyone up! A lot of Grady’s out there these days, might not be a guide doing it also

So if you find a Hot Spot, circle counter-clockwiseRight rod to rocks/shore
Okay, that's wild because there were more people breaking that rule than following it. It was absolute chaos Friday and Saturday. The above quote is from a post on one of the fishing report threads so I thought it best to start a separate thread to discuss and keep it out of the thread for...sportfishingbc.com
Post 20 has the best explanation:
Right-of-Way Rules for Boaters | Boating Mag
https://www.boatingmag.com/how-to/right-of-way-rules-for-boaters/
When two boats are approaching each other, they should pass port-to-port (left-to-left)1. This means that both boats should keep their port (left) sides facing each other as they pass. This ensures that both boats have enough room to maneuver and avoid a collision. When encountering an oncoming boat head-on, each boat should stay to its right, altering course to starboard and allowing each craft to pass to the port (left) side of the other boat2. To pass a fishing boat safely, you need to steer to the starboard side or the right-hand side of the boat3.
I get out almost as much as youYou’re killing it with that podded Trophy. Super happy to see it get such good use.
But you’re still doing pretty good without the blondy and a crutch! Pod affect??I get out almost as much as you
Geez you still remember that one hey? Lol. She was a catch and release. Definitely a “wild”But you’re still doing pretty good without the blondy and a crutch! Pod affect??
yes they are, he's been using that set up for a very long time with the tracking riggers, if I remember correctly I think he has or had a sponsorship set up with canon. the 5th rigger is new to me though, lol.Wonder if those are the ones with auto tracking of bottom
You may find it easier to fish the flood in the afternoon. It’s never fun to be stuck between a big outgoing tide and the NW wind.I usually don’t fish if the wind is over 10kt. Planning to take some guests for fishing mostly for pinks on Saturday around Pt Atkinson so they can have some fun but the forecast calling for NW 10 to 20 kt for that day. If that stays true, how bad would think it’s going to be trolling around West Van shore?
