Some pics of our trip.
Little boat with a big heart. Was sure impressed with the way she handled the rough water. Fished anything that was fishable and traveled in it with ease. No regrets with this purchase, I have found my lifetime boat.
Off the rocks at Eagles Nest. Had the rod tips just about kissing those rocks, pulled a couple nice hogs out of those back eddies rolling over the underwater boulders. I could smell those big nooks hanging around down there, just had to coax them out.
Lots off bait in those pockets, just had to work them.
Yup, the were in there.
Offshore was definitely busier and much easier to troll.
Picked up a few of these and quite a few Black Rock fish as well. Be some nice fish tacos in the future.
And my oldest boys first Halibut and what a fish, lots of power in this one. Hard coming up and when i came up and saw the boat it did a run and darn near made bottom again.
And of course its not all about the fish eating we had to eat too. Hot grilled lunch every day. Most days we let the sea provide but on this day some Alberta beef was in order. Steak sandwich anyone.
Now, count the days until next year. Always goes so fast that trip, some day soon Lord willing I'll be spending a month at a time out there but until then these trips keep me going.
