29 3 to 29 5 is open. Draw a line from South arm jetty to North arm jetty and stay outside of that. This is the productive zone anyways. It is not deep inside that line.
Where is that?View attachment 56502 Gees once again the parking for the ramp at #2 is filled with ****...wonder when they will get this crap out so we can park, looks like its McDonald beach ramp tommorow
29-9 and 29-10 are AKA "the banana" are always closed for Springs. You couldn't fish in there anyways unless you want to fish 20 foot depth or shallower depending on the tide.Yes I saw that 29-3 to 29-5 is open. Thats clear in the Notice. But 29-10 can be productive. I'll assume its closed.

The only actually spot that is deep enough for just a small tack in those areas is the southern most coordinate of 29-9 out front of Roberts Bank where it's 130' deep for a small area then runs up to the next north coordinate where it is only 20' deep or so... And all the way up to the tip of the 29-10 coordinate you are talking about mud water that is just feet deep which is all closed to fishing for Springs anyways. For some dumb reason DFO leaves hatchery Coho open in 29-10 some years but again like I said it's only a very small area out front of Roberts Bank that you could fish in deep enough water for them in only a very small area before you would be in the very shallow water. https://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/rec/tidal-maree/a-s29-eng.html
If you are still unsure of where you are fishing you should plug the DFO boundary coordinates for all the areas/sub areas you are going to fish into your chart plotter. They can be found here: https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2007-77/page-3.html#h-741608

Looks like theres a decent portion of 29-10 that goes out to about 200 ft. deep. Just north of sand heads. The black line here is from sand heads to the north arm jetty
Just curious, isn't the US border about 500 meters/yards from the Tswassen ferry terminal and extends about 8 miles due west? Looking at the map of the zones Roberts bank coal port is almost on top of the border. Would that make a difference? Asking because I mostly fish out of Bamfield. It is dumb Roberts bank off coal ports is always closed used to fish there lots was very productive. Makes no sense.
Ya the border is close to there. Best to stay on the Canadian side during these times. I grew up fishing all around both sides of the border as our relatives had a place at Point Roberts. A while back we could get Hali's in that area as well as some big Skates that would pull our 12 foot boat around lol. Our Italian friends always asked us to keep the Skates for them. They get huge.Just curious, isn't the US border about 500 meters/yards from the Tswassen ferry terminal and extends about 8 miles due west? One more question, I am taking a boat new to me out for the maiden, is there a boat towing service around? I am just being extra careful, a lot of work and the boat has sat for quite awhile.
