Lost two fish today at SH. One to a broken leader, the other, to a frickin seal. Never been sealed before. Right at the green can. Never knew seals were so fast. That fish was maybe 18 lbs and took off like a rocket. The seal followed the boat quite aggressively for 2 minutes. I think he lost the Spring and was hoping for more. Saw lots of nets out. Both fish on chovy at 44 ft.
I wouldn't be surprised if a few of those green balls went missing at some point.
Anyone out at SH this afternoon - wondering if it was crowded again? Thinking of going tomorrow. Thanks in advance.
That's exciting! Ah I'm getting pumped for the winter season already. Cold clean air and only 5% of the fleet out. Plus "first light" means sleeping inFished 4-630pm at North arm and QB. Caught a beauty red feeder (65cm) at 50ft in tight to QB (i.e. on the bottom).
15lb cannon balls are getting to be like hens teeth "aren't any" on Sunshine Coast anyways,
