Fished Thrasher 7-11; ended up with two nice keepers, one 10lber and one 12lber; 1 white 1 marble.
Started away from the pack, S/W, and tried deep at 180, picked up one shaker then reeled up and joined the pack, fished shallower, 100 - 125 and had much success; had a couple real nice ones on, but couldn’t stick em...all together 10 fish to the boat.
Conditions were great, as those of you that were out today all know.
Suppose to keep calm tomorrow as well, so might just make my way out for another early morning run.
Beauty fish “adanac”.
Thanks for the input “eriks”; yes I too heard all the chatter on channel 16...I’ll be keeping to 5-15 for south-easterly’s from now on :)

Hit Thrasher this morning ... concentrated in the 800 ft mark ... 4.0 Irish cream spoon was a killer today although we did nail one of the 12's on a 6.0 cop car spoon ... had 12 to the boat ... couple were under and all the rest were keeper size. Kept two 12's and two 7's and the others all looked to be in the 7'sh range. As Trophy79 said ... the water was lay'n down nicely right through until we left at 2:00.

3 were red and one of the 12's was white. Riggers at 145' was magic for us today ... every hit at that level.

Hope these bad boys stick around ... another day like this next weekend would be fully welcome ... lol.

Was out on Friday for the first outing of the season. Put the boat back in it’s home slip late Thursday, got a late start Friday after a few more last minute fixes at the dock. Ran out to Bowen, dropped the prawn gear and then got to trolling made our way from Cowan to Rodgers, half way along and it went from glass to real nasty, tucked in behind Bowen and trolled the back towards hut. Picked up one nice keeper around third marker. The wind was kinda eerie, was listening in on all the maydays. Picked up at hut and heading around to snug cove for the night, as running back to false creek would be something nasty. Fished today same tact Cowan across the south end, picked up 3 nice keepers mid way at 140 135 on homeland and green ace high hootchy. Released a few barely keepers. Much nicer water but very wet skys today. Nice little outing overall for the first run.

Started at RC and was pretty slow so decided to hit Thrasher, slow start but once we found the depth it was game on, 200’ mark for us and anchovies, 3 in the 12/13lb range and then we lucked out with a 19lber.
Believe it or not on the way back to Mcdonald people actually left our crab traps alone and we got crab, nice way to end the day.

Any reports from HITW? Thinking of going out tomorrow and dont want to go to far...was out last Sunday - got 6 to the boat but all unders.

At Thrasher for the day . 3 kept and many more returned. 12lb, 14lb, and a 28lb. Consistant at 135ft. Water was calm and easy ride back into van.
