Interesting post. Thanks. We fished deeper water, experimented different depts and 135 seemed to be best for us. The biggest weighed in at 28 lbs and the smallest rod shake. The 14 lb slammed the rod with a bend I never saw before! As they say keep going till you find the fish and sweet spot.Fished Thrasher on Sunday from 12-4. Three keepers and many more (2 red 1 marble); some long line releases. Depths varied from 250' to 600'. Riggers around 160-180'. 5.0 Pesca glow spoons did the trick, also heard that hootchies were doing well.

I LIKE IT ! !!
Could have used that off Belcara last week.
In the mean time Gypsy Drifter has removed his name off his theivin boat...... We all still know who he is.... Along with the other rock fish rapper that frequents Thrasher, Porlier Fingers area with his Big Aluminum full of numerous black haired hard to understand individuals......
I hope they both get hammered by DFO this year.....
I love that Bow ......!
See ya on the water tomorrow.

Fished this morning south Bowen. Boat running really well..
4 strikes, 4 fish done by 9. Metals 90-130 behind Hot Spot Green Traditional Flashers (Yup, they still work...who knew ?) ...Airmar makes it almost unfair. Damn there are a lot of fish out there!!!
Headed out tomorrow...this time with Crab Traps.
A$$holes thinking about lifting my traps better be careful....armed with Binoculars....my old school bad butt Dad and a 57 mph boat.....and me....on vacation and nothing but time...
Fishing differently tomorrow changing up tactics.
At Thrasher for the day . 3 kept and many more returned. 12lb, 14lb, and a 28lb. Consistant at 135ft. Water was calm and easy ride back into van.
