I think it would be cool if you guys want to share what you started out on, before you got to where you are today.
I’ll go first…
I had space constraints so I started with a 14’ inflatable. I rigged it up with a plywood floor, attachable wood transom and minn Kota electric motor with a battery box for a seat.
it was slow to get set up but it was quiet, reliable and fun to catch trout and bass.
then I got some space in the driveway and decided to get a 14’ tinny on a trailer. $500 I believe I spent. It was ugly, so I sanded it down and painted it army green with the stinkiest paint I’ve ever smelled. Worked like a charm.
Then I had a big upgrade to a co-workers double eagle 17 that he bought a new yamaha 90 for. He used it for about 60 hours in 8 years. I did the works to it, wrapped it, new top, kicker, electronics, lighting, seats etc etc. It got me on the ocean.A very cool transformation:
Then after a few years I had to make the sacrifice to sell it to start my development company, so I started at the beginning again with some failed attempts at fixer uppers before landing on the beauty I got now from our dear member @Cmiles.
I’ve repowered this beast added a fresh interior and have more things are coming soon. I love her and hope I can find a better balance in life that I can get out and give her the time and attention she deserves!
