Request suggestions for 9.9 Suzuki prop.

Whiskey creek manufacturing in Whiskey creek has their own version. All stainless.

The prop guards don't do anything. I used to make them. Never had a complaint on performance and ones I made had more holes than one you had. The band was fat like one.

I think that's Adventure Marine out of Vancouver that makes one you have. Nothing wrong with those they are well made.

I am not seeing the halo advantage vs any other guard other than it looks different.

It's pretty tight the one you have out it's not going do anything as long if it isn't hitting. I will look at clearance on mine today.

Just an update for everyone that helped me out. I ended up trying the 4 blade, 10 inch 7 pitch. With the coarser pitch it wouldn’t fit with the prop guard so I took that off too.

Took my boat out to see how it would perform in the river near Ladner. It was night and day. The real test though was today with two 15# cannonballs and some big currents over at Porlier. Fishing was slow but I was thrilled with the kickers performance. Not much above idle all day and it worked awesome!

I couldn’t be happier and I really appreciate everyone’s help. I still don’t know if the prop guard had any adverse effect or if the improvement was due to the new prop but my problem is solved. Thank you all.
