What Did You Do To Your Boat This Week?

Checked on it after the last storm, still floating. Hoping I can get some trees knocked down in my yard so I can bring her home for a while but the storm damage pushed the tree guys back a bit
I just took a tree down and trimmed the others up a bunch to get my boat back from a fantastic member who has let me store it at his property after my neighbor narked me out to the municipality. Instead of a nice metal shed as planned now the old bag will get to look at a blue tarp.

Just finished installing Teak EVA in the interior of the Seasport after fastening the sole ,glassing it in and gelcoating.Should look pretty good once I refinish the Teak doors, drawers etc..
What will you be finishing the teak with?
Have you tried Osmo finishes? My brother swears by them, says they are the most attractive and durable available. He made my wife and I a set of walnut chopsticks about 6 years ago, finished in Osmo. We use them very regularly, hand wash to clean and the finish hasn’t budged at all in that time.

Probably hygloss varnish,I like shiny finish . The teak is all inside the cabin, none outside.

Decided I wanted to protect my fibreglass gunwales when setting and retrieving crab traps. Looked at different materials and decided to go with wood (western red cedar) rather than HDPE, stainless steel or rubber as it was quicker and easier. Used linseed oil for the finish and to provide some protection from saltwater. There are some wood shims to make it snug. Idea is simple, it just drops onto the gunwale, the fitting was a little bit trickier. Plastic rail is where the traps slide.

Well it is more than this week. More likely many weeks. Ohhhh .... The joys of inboards... Yeah I know....pod it. Bearings around the primary drive shift are being replaced as well as a major refresh to the motor.
Luckily I'm a retired guy with time on my hands and a place to work.
