Did you put a slope on the PVC to help it drain? I may have to do the same thing.
Yes I did. I made a bit of a jig to cut straight lines and offset the one end by about 3/16” to create the slope.

Well it is has been a long time in coming...! I finally replaced the original motor on my 2004 Silver Streak. The old motor was a 1999 Honda 130hp. It performed very well for most of the last 20 years, but finally succumbed to a rusted out cooling system.

My new motor is a 2024 Mercury SeaPro 150 with a 4 blade Spitfire prop. Bought it from Bridgeview Marine for a good price with 918 hrs. as a lease return. It still has full warranty until June 2026. Got with the new VesselView blue tooth unit where I can get all sorts of performance and diagnostic info sent to my iPhone. Can't wait to sea trial it!!!

Nice, would love to know the performance numbers vs the old honda! I've been drooling over the torque specs for the merc. Looks like a great buy.Well it is has been a long time in coming...! I’m interested…like it actually sits there without looking like it’s gonna fly off at any minute? Finally got the bbq set up. I'll say it again, Burnwin officially changed the mount game. View attachment 114293View attachment 114294
Not a chance. Rock solid but adjustable and removable in seconds.I’m interested…like it actually sits there without looking like it’s gonna fly off at any minute?
Do you cruise at speed ok with it on the gunnel? Do you pull it when you fish? Have you got a good place to stow it? I always had challenges on my 23 footer with my bbq. I’m currently looking for a bigger boat. Just curious. Finally got the bbq set up. I'll say it again, Burnwin officially changed the mount game. View attachment 114293View attachment 114294
I'd be confident in running it on. The table is much heavier and it doesn't move at all in the burnwin. I offset it so I can still access the rods, and the burnwin mount shoots it out 6" so the clearance at the door is maintained. I had the a lot of trouble with the bbq on the 24 bayliner as well. Couldn't stand moving it around. Once I experienced the full-time mounted q on the commander, I was dreading going back to it.Do you cruise at speed ok with it on the gunnel? Where are you gonna mount the deep fryer?!I'd be confident in running it on. The table is much heavier and it doesn't move at all in the burnwin. I really doubt anything coming out of Canada could compete. Not that Burnwin stuff is cheap, but they can't be making much off this stuff. The machining has to be crazy expensiveI wonder if Scotty will come up with a competitor premium line to Burnwin? It can be their Lexus line like Toyota. Maybe buy the company doing the machined aluminum. Let’s go, time for Canadian business to crush this American upstart.
All depends on what tools you are using to do the job, Peetz for example had or has a machine that can work on about a dozen reels at once. CNC machine centres that work lights out can produce a lot between 4pm-8am while everyone has gone home.I really doubt anything coming out of Canada could compete.
