What Did You Do To Your Boat This Week?

Do you cruise at speed ok with it on the gunnel? Do you pull it when you fish? Have you got a good place to stow it? I always had challenges on my 23 footer with my bbq. I’m currently looking for a bigger boat. Just curious.
I'd be confident in running it on. The table is much heavier and it doesn't move at all in the burnwin. I offset it so I can still access the rods, and the burnwin mount shoots it out 6" so the clearance at the door is maintained. I had the a lot of trouble with the bbq on the 24 bayliner as well. Couldn't stand moving it around. Once I experienced the full-time mounted q on the commander, I was dreading going back to it.

The kuuma rail mounts for bbqs work good for seabcues too. Run a regular bolt/washer/lockwasher/nut through so it’s permanently mounted. Weird that seabcue doesn’t have anything more permanent

Where are you gonna mount the deep fryer?!

I wonder if Scotty will come up with a competitor premium line to Burnwin? It can be their Lexus line like Toyota. Maybe buy the company doing the machined aluminum. Let’s go, time for Canadian business to crush this American upstart.
I really doubt anything coming out of Canada could compete. Not that Burnwin stuff is cheap, but they can't be making much off this stuff. The machining has to be crazy expensive

All depends on what tools you are using to do the job, Peetz for example had or has a machine that can work on about a dozen reels at once. CNC machine centres that work lights out can produce a lot between 4pm-8am while everyone has gone home.

Looks great . Where did you get the canvas done .
Have you had the boat out on the water now with the new additions ? Wonder if you notice and performance difference with the new top
I worked with someone that @Bifmalibu tipped me off about earlier in this thread (thanks Bif!). Bonus, it was about 5 minutes drive from me. No, haven't been out on the water yet with either the top or the canvas. Top was completed just before Christmas, and then Christmas happened. And this month was the canvas - literally picked it up about an hour before I posted this. I'm hoping to get out later in Feb - need to do some rigging on the top - move the VHF antenna up there, 360 light - that kind of stuff. I expect I might feel a little bit more roll with more weight up high, but its aluminum so I don't think it'll make that much of a difference. Canvas might catch the wind a bit more - I guess we'll see!

We all like boats... We all like YOUR boat! Here’s a thread to keep us up to date with what you did to it.

Upgrades?
Wash it?
Fish out of it?
Sell it and buy a bigger one?

Let’s hear it.
Hi there, I have a Campion 542, just added second Lowrance unit so I don’t have to strain my eyes looking at split screen on 1st unit, last yr replaced seats that were original to boat and showing their age. I clean and wax every spring and wash down after every trip out. It’s a good boat for my wife and I to fish out of, 3 people is comfortable 4 is doable but crowded, thinking of upgrading to a bigger boat still looking to see what will work without being more then I need.

Keep us posted . Definitely a nice upgrade on the arima and something I might venture towards in the future . Unless I win the lotto and can afford a bigger boat lol

Nice! What year is the campion?

Ain’t no Sharrow but looking forward to getting her wet and seeing if I can get another 100 miles of range and a higher top end. Wish I didn’t have to winterize the boat, be nice to do a comparison test it with the water I just had to pump out into the driveway, still in it. Probably have to find lots of ways to loose weight to get close to the target performance but a man can dream.

Added a new cotter pin after the pic was taken.
