Tuna Shootout on Big Coast this Wknd

terrible coverage by big coast IMHO, guess they need sponsors to keep them pushing it... was disappointing.

Watched it. Good thing I didnt walk to the kitchen to get a coffee, would have missed the entire tuna segment, all two and a half minutes of it.

I watched it last time it played and I was thinking there must have been some sort of falling out with the organizers and the TV crew. Not good coverage for the tuna shoot out. Not saying that happened just seemed like really lame coverage for very interesting event.

That show is a joke lol. Another coho. Oh coho. And hey another coho...wait chinook on, back completely off the drag and it peels 300ft...and it's a 12lber lol

I was very surprised that they didnt have better coverage as well...they seemed to be enjoying themselves when we saw them at the dock...and they took third place...Hopefully Mitchell or Pendlington or Morrison will latch on this year and give it better coverage...the BC Tough boys do a bang up job...it was well done.

The problem with the shoot out is everyone is so pump up about the fishing that nobody has time to film lol.

I think it would be nice to see some video footage from start to finish. Opening ceremonies, shot gun start, fishing action on various boats, weigh ins, gatherings and funny stuff, and the closing awards. That in itself is ALOT of work to put together and edit.

The Big Coast coverage was not impressive but at least they put something out there (as minimal as it was).

No fallout with the Big Coast boys, Tim and the crew are all awesome guys. As Sculpin mentioned, it was pretty chaotic this year. They hadn't fish Tuna, the weather was brutal for filming with 3m swell and they could only be there for a day of it. I'm sure next year will be better.

Rocking new kingfishers and fishing for a living these guys are living the dream... I liked the tuna fishing and to be honest big coast is a lot better than some others on WFN. A lot of good advertising for B.C

Well played JAC . Even though the tuna portion was lack luster there are other factors to consider for sure.

Alright alright, you've all twisted my arm. I will invite Mariko onto the Reef Raider for this years shootout...Might just have to overnight this time...

P.S. Don't tell my wife

:p

We should be supporting our local TV fishing shows, despite what the outcome of the shoot was. I agree with JAC. It was their first time, cut them some slack. Where else can you find PA locals to shoot fishing and beautiful scenery? That show's vision was and continues to be intended to be more about the Coastal experience than the technical aspects of cut plugging or trolling, hence the name and the shows they did earlier on that showed skiing excursions. Geez, tough crowd.

In case folks might not know... Mr. Tim Mills passed away a short time ago.

Tight lines Tim.
