Wish they and all the other shows could figure out how to capture the strike moment too. To turn the camera on when the fish is already hooked and being played is not even 50% of the excitement for me. There no other moment as exciting as the moment your rod dips down or the line tightens etc. Miss that and you miss the point of fishing!

I find big coast is the best show for capturing the strike. Quite often they have a camera mounted on the hard top running that pics up strikes. At least in seasons past they did. That's the one part of the show I enjoy and I agree other shows do a terrible job capturing the strike which I can never understand as like you said the anticipation of the hit is what fishing is all about.

Tim is alive and well, he just emailed me today.
I apologize to all, in the back of my mind those two Tims were always one and the same. Never knew either personally, so I should just stfu.
