Seasport skipper 19 podding project

Cruising back from Sangster at 35mph, 4140rpm and 3.25mpg. Then opened her up for a bit of a rip, 43.5mph, 5220rpm and fuel not so good at 2.15mpg 😜

Let us know when the autopilot, secondary steering station, additional chart finder, are installed on back. Usually follows this project unless your cheap lololol 🤣🤣🤣.
Secondary steering…check. Any more ideas lol.
Changed uflex front steering helm to tilt and put the none tilt helm on transom for rear steering. FYI I didn’t do the install. The guys at APM in Alberni did the job. The iCloud link is a quick video of steering the motors.

Yep know that was going to happen. Let me know when you get that additional chart plotter 🤣 . That usually comes next after wheel goes on.

Yeah one of best things I did on my boat was that wheel when I podded it along with autopilot. The only thing right now I wish I had was electronic throttle control for kicker at helm also.

With all this fishery closure stuff looks like I am keeping my boat, and not upgrading. Will be doing my floors next and AIS.

Finally getting around to getting our name on the boat. Always knew the name would be Nautorious but didn’t do anything about it. Below are a couple mock ups from the sign place that will print it out and install.
My wife picked the font. I then added the wave and the fish. I put the font on Canva ( an app that allows you to mess with graphics). I’d never had any experience with that sort of thing. I then used an AI portion of Canva to generate a wave, called adding a flourish. Then thought a fish might be cool as well. After a few tries I came up with what is shown below. It’s not on the boat yet but I think this is what I’ll go with.

Very Slick--Great Job!!

I didn’t make it out yesterday for a variety of reasons. I did come to the realization that I just put a name on the boat and by doing that comes a number of responsibilities you should follow or risk bad juju from the sea gods. I will need to christen the boat with a bottle of champagne at launch. It needs to be good champagne not just some cheap baby duck (gods hate cheap spirits apparently). Avoid launching or naming on Fridays (unlucky) or Thursdays (Thor's day, associated with storms). Saturday sounds like the day. Another appeasement is to have some green branches on the bow for the first voyage after naming. I was going to skip a bit of this but I made the mistake of telling my wife about these superstitions and she wants no part of skipping what is supposed to be followed 😆.
