Seasport skipper 19 podding project

Yep they will. I’m happy with the prop but don’t know what else I’d need. The boat gets out of the hole in an instant and goes like a scalded cat.
Keep an eye on rpm at WOT. Over the next few months you'll add a bunch of equipment and tackle and tools and parts and devices and people to the boat. The weight will cause extra load amd shave some rpm off at WOT. Review at end of season, if you're still in the outboard manufacturer's optimum rpm range, fine. But you should carry a spare prop anyway, perhaps it should be one pitch size up or down so you can have options.

You will find it will take 50 hours or so more and it will really become smoother as the rings will really seat better make sure run the high grade gas as these new engines seem to work way better.

I pretty much only feed my mercs marked 87 (these are not 350 dps Wolf). No problems and I have had 6 of the v8s now including your 225s for 4 years.

I realize its not a 350 , just saying the better gas has less ethenol (some do) where ya can find it ,
GAS is the cheapest thing you put into your boat look after it. these engines are pretty high tech when you think about how they have advanced in 20 years. its only a sugestion. to me better gas is just a helping stepping stone for longer life IMO

The marked gas around Nanoose area is either mid grade or premium. It’s hard to get a straight answer from the stations. French Creek Marina is premium.

I run 87 and was told as long as you run them year round and don’t let them sit, there’s no issue. Good luck finding ethanol free these days anyways.

I think most is now marine is premium I think. they keep changing who knows...

Was reading and would recommend the same. Typically if you prop the boat so it can achieve max RPMs when empty, it will settle into the middle of the range when fully loaded up. If you were achieving 5300rpm at WOT empty, I'd drop down one size and it will give you the most versatility, especially when loaded.

If you feel like dragging it to Nanaimo the coop on Bowen has ethanol free.
This is actually not true. I spent the day with the Coop Gas station GM today, there is no ethanol free fuel on the Island other than some that Suncor has. Everything Coop and other stations including Marine have has a percentage of ethanol in it.
