I don't get it? Scotty is a great company overall - so why are they letting this poor quality part issue last so long. They are long overdue for a proper fix to solve this problem IMHO. Get a different supplier or redesign this part.

They probably only cost Scotty $4 each, but like Rain City said, you gotta buy 200,000 of them to get that price lol.

We do not have to many digital counter issues on the boat I fish on, but as a back up there are manual counters are installed.
We had a good friend install the counters because he has done it before and knows his Scotty stuff.

If we have a digital counter go down, we pull the plug out of the lid and set the counter to 0 and continue fishing. Change the digital counter back at the dock.

I'm surprised Scotty doesn't sell a manual counter for the high speed DR. Or an optional back up kit to add a manual counter.

We have not used the manual counters in a while, that is why the numbers are different. We also use the scotty thick blue end line and rubber snubber on 20lb balls.

well just going to order up 30mm flat glass window and grommets to suit so if any one want a few sets hit me up in about 4 weeks time i'll order up 40 windows i'll be keeping 10 so i have 15 pr's for a group buy
