Sage blank Alternates - 3106SA

With Sage blanks now basically unable to be fixed/replaced, I am looking for opinions on alternative options for back ups. Preferably as close to the 3106SA as possible… Titans are out for me due to multiple failures.

Any stand outs to check out?

Did Sage fold? Or just go straight fly rods?

Fly only , asked Farbank about the warranty last year and got this :

Thank you for reaching out. Gear rod graphite is limited and we no longer produce graphite for gear rod repairs. Current repairs are handled on a case-by-case basis. If the rod is a factory-built Sage rod and the material is available we will repair the rod under the original terms of the warranty. If the gear is a custom- built rod and the graphite is available we will cut, fit, and send a blank section as well as the original section(s) sent to us so the customer can harvest the old hardware. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

Basically SOL if you break one

Ouch. Times change.

I've always surfed eBay for my fishing equipment. Five years ago I picked up a root beer 3106 from Japan (of all places) for $200 ..used but in good shape

Last year I picked up a Greenie 3106 ...also from Japan. Shipped to my door for $240. I was amazed there wasn't a bidding war...brand new, unused rod...sexy piece of equipment

Last Fall, also from Japan, a Sage X 8136 fly rod for $300 on eBay. That's a steelhead killing machine for half what i would have paid in the US
