Just got back from Renfrew after 3 days of power fishing. First 2 days, no fish on the beach, all Swiftsure. Good butts. Spoons work best. Use the same one you got the butts on for salmon @ 100’. Today it’s was the beach for good action. Many fish taken at Logan creek this AM. It’s coming on Boys’!! [^]

Fished Rennie yesterday July 20th. Still scratchy. About a 2 hour bite at Logan at noon and that was about it. Most fish looked to be teenagers. Camper devoid of fish and boats. What gives? Its late July already.

Just came back from yesterday fishing - took out 4 chartered boats...had limit of hali (15-45 lb) in the time it took us to get to swiftsure. Also coho like crazy at the surface and we limited on hatchery to 8 lbs ....few small springs and threw back another dozen wilds, also 3 snapper and a couple of big lings (10-15 pounds). Tried Camper after and it was dead (1-2pm). Few that did camper in the morning did pull a few in the 20's that we saw. Beautiful conditions - 2m swell on the way back but died off the rest of the day.

Was a blast for first time out there - really puts Sooke to shame!
