Renfrew 1st time

Hoping to receive some tips and advice on fishing Renfrew waters for the first time,salmon only. I have a 17 ft DE used in the Sooke area.
I understand I launch in the river at the marina and travel out to sea. This whole new area etc is somewhat intimidating.

Nothing to be intimidated about. Just follow the rest of the fleet heading out in the morning to Camper Creek from the marina. It's all good.
