Prince Rupert Guides

A buddy of mine, who is retiring in May, is heading to Prince Rupert June 04-09. His better half is attending meetings and he is looking to spend a few days on the water along with a couple other guys.

He is looking for for a guide who has a boat for up to 4 guys, really knows the area and can catch both salmon and bottom fish.

Any recommendations???

Ive never gone with him myself because I was born and raised out there and have my own boat but he is top notch. I live in PG now but fish along side Real in the summer and he always catches fish. Lots of ppl I know have gone with him and they always do well. Most guides in rupert are pretty dialled! They pass around info where the fish are that day to help each other out and what not. So its hard to have a slow day unless the fish just are not around. Good time to go to rupert for sure. If hes booked he will recommend another charter. They are all similar in pricing to stay competitive.

Having lived in PR for a number of years Haida (Real) and Northern Bounty (Kevin Wiley) would be at the top of my list.

Another fellow you should try is Rod Proskiw 250-627-1853. Fished bottom and salmon 2 years ago and maxed out. Good guy, long time PR resident and knows his way around. We have booked another charter with him the first week of July 2014. Just counting the days. www.foggypoint.com
