As for Ministers, which ones are you looking for??

Does anyone have a list of BC Liberal MP’s as well as ministers emails? A nice easy copy and paste? Have a ton of people that will do it. But just need it in a copy and paste format for emails.
Start here. This is who I emailed previously. Should be every MP with a coastal BC riding (regardless of party), as well as relevant cabinet members or shadow cabinets.

Maybe somebody can fill me in but why isn’t there more engagement from some our big lodges. I have been to three Sportsman shows this year and it seems like it’s business as usual. Most guy’s I speak too don’t seem to be concerned about all this. I run a small lodge and all this has me pretty nervous about the coming season. Seems to me that the big guys have a lot loose but should also have more leverage. Anyway thanks to everybody that’s working on our behalf. I have written my letters but I need to write a few more.

They are fully aware and engaged

Does anybody know if FN Commercial fishers would pay taxes on any of their fishing activity? I assume they don’t pay any personal income taxes on any wages earned but not sure about any business related expenses. No idea how that works. Could you make the case on top of the revenue loss the sports sector provides to the economy & taxes paid by non FN workers and business, there would be an additional loss of tax revenues by giving more allocation to FN since they don’t pay tax?

Of course taxes are paid on the income. As per most businesses, some related expenses can be applied against that (standard write-offs).

You could make the case that the recreational sector provides more in base tax collections by way of increased spin-offs / employment etc.

And obviously in the case of FN's it would be a dead loss.

Public facing engagement will look entirely different from Private facing engagement - any guide or lodge I know is extremely concerned - and should be. If some of these proposed changes - especially the proposal to eliminate Recreational priority for Chinook and Coho and give that to the Commercial will be a death knell to our fishery. Everyone should read this:

If you hear people trying to tell you everything is fine - "TRUST ME" don't worry, no one is trying to take any fishing opportunities away from you - RUN. They want to lull everyone into a false sense of security until the noose is firmly around your neck, and when its too late they will say things like...."There is no room in the fishery for non-resident anglers, guides, lodges...you guys need to accept shorter seasons so you can go play with your fish." "But you can still go fishing - well, only the locals that is."
