SALMON ALLOCATION POLICY
LANGLEY TOWNHALL MEETING - APRIL 18TH
LANGLEY TOWNHALL MEETING - APRIL 18TH
To all Members,
As most are aware, decisions on changes to the Salmon Allocation Policy (SAP) are pending.
Prior town hall meetings from Yarrow to North Vancouver & Vancouver Island have highlighted the potential negative impacts on the Public fishery. These include loss of common property salmon designations & loss of Public fishery priority to chinook & coho after conservation & Indigenous constitutionally protected fisheries.
An upcoming townhall in Langley, BC on April 18th will reinforce the prior meetings & capsulate the common messaging received province wide and send a strong message to our elected officials. The meeting will be held:
Saturday April 18th, 2026
From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
At the Southridge Fellowship Church
22756 48 Ave, Langley Twp, BC

As the impact can be devastating to the Public fishery, the meeting April 18th could be your last chance to express your concerns as decisions are pending.
We sincerely hope you will attend & encourage your friends as well as these potential SAP changes represent the greatest threat to our fisheries in recent memory.
The fishing future of your children & grand children is in jeopardy.
