I just got mine too....although I am not as disappointing as you seem to be. I wasn't expecting much for $12. I am going to give it a try before shelving it. The suction certainly is strong enough. The part that I am not super happy with is the part that holds the ipad as it's certainly made for any similar sized item and not specifically for an ipad. I would certainly rather be out trying it right now than working...

Its the same part I don't like... I am not about to hang a $800 unit from it running on even choppy water.
