So many areas vote NDP for Fed and they are completely irrelevant, NDP is a waste of a a federal vote IMO.

lol west coast minus Vancouver, I personally think our NDP stronghold on the west does us a great disservice. If your the Liberals and looking to holding onto the areas you have. Rural west coast is meaningless

There have been over 110,000 jobs lost in Alberta since 2014.... Jobs in the resource sector everywhere need more support from all of Canadians.. I personally support the 2.5 million Canadians who rely on the resources to feed there family.
Look at the stink over 3000 jobs at an Ontario GM plant. That made the news for weeks. West of Ontario gets treated like a fart in a small room.
Lastly.... Bombardier.... Need I say more

As long as they continue to suck millions of herring out of the strait like is happening right now the salmon will be small and die off. Whales feast on herring. No herring no fish. Pattison does not care about anything except money. Herring fishery is the major problem. A select few multi million aires profit heavily from it most of whom do not live in BC. Chinook size restriction needs to go. 2 fish a day any size people are happy with that and go home. If caught dozens barely under size before getting a keeper. I try to release them alive but i know some die. Try telling a fisheries officer that you kept one because it was bleeding so bad it would die and that's why you kept it. Take your gear boat what ever else depending on their mood. I been fishing 55 years but what do i know. Herring numbers are nothing compared to before yet they take more and more of them every year. No fish no **** !!!

The majority of sport fishing enterprises and individuals are in ridings represented by the NDP. The NDP is silent on this issue, their leader is more worried about the establishment of Khalistan than his base in BC, and most of the MPs are more interested in catering to green voters. Vancouver Island particularly continually votes in NDPers and has no voice in anything as a result

The stream on our property has forever had runs of plenty of salmon. During heavy winter rains the flood over would bring them into the fields. We would pick them up in baskets and return to the creek. This year no salmon. A steady decline every year for past 8 years from abundance to zilch. Not much difference to the forests here in Alberni which are not being logged but annihilated. Greed is the problem and it lobbies well.
Unfortunately, that sums up the current state of affairs very well.

The Game Changer is underway. Not on the front pages but all BC papers carried the announcement that a decades old Pacific Northwest concept known as Cascadia will proceed as the Cascadia Innovation Corridor. Washington, Oregon (Democrat States) and BC backed by Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Boeing, Ebay, Telus, Boeing ... the largest corps in the world have all signed on. A hint was the NHL falling all over itself to award Seattle an NHL franchise last year. The west coast brand has historically been ocean and forest abundance. This will be a priority. The Pacific North West already attracts the best and the brightest... the worlds biggest corps are already here from California to BC. BC has more jobs in high tech than in all other sectors combined. This Cascadia Innovation will be linked by ultra fast 400 km/hr rail and super speed fibre optic communications will produce an economic power to counter (the now never more hated Republic Eastern influence and for BC ... we will call the shots not Ottawa). The observation of similarly linked economies in Asia and Europe soaring economically is also a motivating factor. Info:

If you want to know who has the clout look who has the money. It’s all about lobbying the right people. You want to make a difference we may have to unite and put our moneys together and hire the right lobbyists to work for us.
Do yourself a favour and spend a half hour or more looking around this site and do some thinking and reading between the lines. It’s about money and who has the money to spend to get the few pieces there is to devide up. Between the FN and big corporations there is little left for the sportsman and a few small dwindling lodges.
Use the east coast as an example there is no sortfihery it’s all about the Comercial and corporations. You can’t even fish for Halibut as a sports fisherman on the east coast, it’s strictly a Comercial fishery.

But people don’t want Canada or the west to have power, they are fighting it now, there is a project looking for approval that would help and go a long ways to promote the power of the west and there was a project that was to go east that was fought and stopped. Follow the money of who’s funding fighting those projects, same people you named in your post.
Again,, your region of the country invited these people in and gave them the keys to the place, what did you think would happen,, something good, when has something good ever followed these people.

Walleyes... Washington State is salmon fishing crazy... US'rs love to fish and hunt. An economic powerhouse genie in the bottle is now out and includes the most gifted human resources and environmental coastal spectacle globally imaginable. Governor Inslee is an avid sportsman and boater. He has led the charge to demolish old dams and wants buy outs of commercial boats. The rivers with old dams demolished already are now incubating salmon....more to come. He has pledged 1 billion for Orca's alone. This new economic region Cascadia linked by rail and fibre optics built/backed by world's largest high tech corps (guess what? Their execs live here north and south of the 49th on this coast) is a no brainer to become perhaps the leading high, clean tech super economic powerhouse in the world... wildlife/fish/ forest tabernacle eco region in the world. Do some googling on Cascadia Innovation Corridor. The driving force of this all is that the best brains putting their billions where their mouths are, scientifically understand that nobody's money is good anywhere on a dead planet... and that latter stark fact is looming on our horizon. The US politics are right because the Democratic states of California, Oregon and Washington have stated that Trump/Republicans are the enemy ... literally. An unrivalled economic region is emerging ...
