How to unload Chinese tin boats

Sounds like agree to disagree on this one. If you never have or will own an aluminum boat these imports might look comparable to local builders at face value.

I ended up poking around that build after that thread and would start making a list of serious build quality issues but it doesn’t sound like you want to hear them anyways. Good luck if importing.
Again you just

again you read bits and pieces, I fish out of Renfrew and have for years, a good friend of mine owns a NW and I have fished on it many times, guides all have NW and I am very familiar with the built, I am very verse in structure been building large project for over 2 decades, want me to keep going??? No I am not pushing Chinese import boats, I got hired to pull them out of the c can, at glance they look decent for 20% of the cost for one here, I did not do a full inspection of the built, but I for one have seen 2 up close, will they sink shortly who knows, hope you read this one till the end that should clarify what I stand for 🙄🙄

It's all part of their multi pronged approach to weaken and undermine our Western Civilization. Dump boatloads of cheap, disposable junk on us, boatloads of drugs to weaken our society, and promoting multiple social "causes" that are a complete waste of our time, energy and resources. But hey, this is a fishing forum right?? ;)

Yes we all are forced to purchase items made in china, however, wal mart etc will be selling CSA (Canadian Standards Association.) certified items (or at least they will have a counterfeit CSA sticker on the item) and have a service desk you can go to when said pos item is broken/defective. Buying an item directly from a Chinese manufacturer opens up a bunch of different risks (counterfeit, low quality, non csa approved, poisonous materials in product, slave labour used to build product, and what kind of return/warranty policy do you get??) Hopefully the OP never has to find out...

This is a country that is known to de-engineer and counterfeit EVERYTHING. They will even counterfeit baby formulas. We all know someone with a "Chinese" quad or dirt bike in their backyard - broken down piece of crap and can't find parts to fix it lol. No way in hell would I spend a significant amount of money on an unknown product like a boat from over there.
Cool story bro

Appreciated the info. It’s always interesting to see new boats enter the market.

Again calling a sub par before seeing one, until I see one sinking myself it’s all internet keyboard assumption , there is a well know tin boat builder that their boats are sinking and they seem to still sell
Yeah.. no idea why anyone would buy a riverhawk... even if you changed the name to RH.....
