I have given up on this radio. The fuse keeps popping when I need it not to. But after changing, the radio works for weeks in my shop.

Why it happens?
Can it be fixed?

I thought about getting rid of the fuse. But I would think that would be a fire hazzard.

Seems simple I know but I would check the radio specs in the book or on line and make sure you have the right size fuse. Radio fuses are typically low amps and the fact yours blows after many weeks may mean it is a little low in amps. No I would not direct wire -but I may go up an amp in fuse size if I was getting desparate!

I have Santa bringing me a new one for Christmas. If someone wants it I can show them how to take apart and where the $1 fuse goes.
