Favourite picture from 2021 salmon season

Couldn't pick just one photo... Not our best year for salmon, but managed to find a few like this nice coho.




Bottom fishing on the other hand was outstanding. Will be eating lingcod all winter long, including this one which was the largest blue ling we've caught.




Wrestling this 130 cm halibut up and into the boat was definitely one of the highlights this year. This was the same day as the first pic.



Finally, here's a shot just after leaving Victoria on the run up to Bamfield a couple weeks ago.

My girlfriends first year of fishing, she seemed to be pretty good luck for us haha, here’s a couple of my favourites from this season, her smile says it all.

White Wolf on the rocks, the moment after he caught the scent of an otter. A second later, the otter made a run for it and I heard the audible “SNAP!” of the wolf’s jaws. (He missed it)....gave me chills watching ....also, first time I ever laid eyes on a wolf despite seeing their tracks in the sand on the beaches for over a decade...

Not a salmon story but definitely my favourite pics of the season. First time for our 3 year old granddaughter Olivia on the boat with just Gramma and me.

Gramma asks her to took into the camera and she says I can't because I have to pay attention to where I'm going. Smart girl.
