It is! My buddy is on a 4 day with him now. That looks like the Fishmyster, if so - not a fair example - Kenny could drop down a cigarette butt and still catch that many fish, lol

Definitely true. One of the best jigs I find is the norweigen standard cod jig.
You mean it's not for throwing at the boat trying to steal your tack? That's what lead is for
2nd that, landed a nice 17lber this morning on oneOne of the best jigs I find is the norweigen standard cod jig.
Nice looking bait... how long is it?Agree that lings aren't too picky, but the top producer on our boat the past three years has been the Madame Lure Big Richard in Pilchard. We've tried pretty much every jig and pattern out there - Lighthouse Megabites, Power Grubs, Hali Hawgs, Savage Gear, Mustag Inkvader, etc. etc. etc. and this is one that always produces for us. The original one we got is still going strong after 20+ lings.

Last year I started playing around with a "light jigging" set up - a Shimano Trevala PX 6'6" Medium / Daiwa BD 4500 / 40 lb Power Pro. It was a blast catching lings up to 20+ lbs - this year my goal is to get a decent halibut on the setup. Best jig on that set up was the 140 g and 168 g Shimano Butterfly Flat-Side jig in Blue Sardine.

7”, pretty much the same size as the Megabites. Fits perfectly on 12 - 24 oz jig heads. If you cut a small notch it will fit on the Lighthouse lure 14 oz heads nicely.Nice looking bait... how long is it?
Lot of wisdom in that there post…….Anything white-just like Salmon.

Nothing in this sport is inexpensive lol But if you're a gear junky like me it's awesome!Very expensive
I agree totally. I am a gear junky as well and still by the original Norwegian jigs. The harder you jig them the better they produce.Nothing in this sport is inexpensive lol But if you're a gear junky like me it's awesome!
I don't let anyone waste my time with those stupid things on my boat. They're ocean floor catchers more than anything.I agree totally. I am a gear junky as well and still by the original Norwegian jigs. The harder you jig them the better they produce.
Move the hook to the top it'll still catch as well.I don't let anyone waste my time with those stupid things on my boat. They're ocean floor catchers more than anything.
