From what I've found, most things work.. when a piece of copper pipe catches fish, I think the super detailed swim baits (burbot marketing saying the 2cm whisker thing on it, is a game changer) make the angler feel better more than the fish. I think it's more about presenting the bait in the right place at the right time.

I 2nd that, anything lighthouse lures works so well. I like the Russian white personally, but they'll eat anything.
Jigged opposite a guy using a green one one time and they wouldn’t touch it, while my white one was getting all the attention. As soon as he switched to a white one, it was like a light switch.
