We must have been there very close to the same time. Scene points helped out too.I went to the CR Thriftys today.
I got a selection of smaller PR roasts and steaks.
The big ones just did not look great.
The good part was paying for it in Scene points.

I’ll start. Here’s Halibut from the gouging Gabriola meat shop.Every once in a while someone should post pieces of fish they see on sale. Just so we can kid ourselves on how much money we are saving
I feel a lot better now!!!I’ll start. Here’s Halibut from the gouging Gabriola meat shop.
I bought a $4 sausage roll for lunch
I went to take a look at what Superstore had. Barf. If there's such a thing as B or C gade meat, they're worse than that.
My dry aging fridge is getting pretty complex. I snapped some pics of roast to appease the people.

Appearance! same here , Smoked , gas, charcoal, oven....RegardsI bought a few roasts at SS this week, they looked decent enough to me. I stock up quite a few while they are on sale, and we had one from last year this evening likely also from SS.
We cook our roasts sous vide for about 10 hours @ 131 and finish in the oven. While the crust is not the same as what would be produced from a barbeque, I feel the temperature control of the interior more than makes up for it.
Our roast tonight was fabulous and I will definately ending on appearance.continue buying AA roasts from SS and other venues dep
I guess they had to replace it because of whatever that sign is saying happened. If you like Australian beef, SS has boneless roasts for 10.88/lb on Nanaimo
