It is a beast of a trailer, I think if it was 2 feet shorter it would be perfect. The motors might hit the bunks LoL. There’s also nothing used out there and people want ridiculous money for older equipment.1000lb of wet is pretty easy to do, with a family or the boys on a good fishing trip. I've done the put stuff in the back of the truck trick and it is much nicer to just load it all, tow, splash and go. Nice looking trailer. Do it right do it once.
The new aluminum I-beam trailers don’t seem to be configured for podded boats with outboards. They have too much frame behind the axles and I had to cut 18” of it off after setting it up for my boat.It is a beast of a trailer, I think if it was 2 feet shorter it would be perfect. peter rebuilt the back of the" sea ya later".....very happy with their work!David from Lordship marine said he will take care of it. I guess his brother Peter runs Adrenalin in the same building and they will design and fabricate the pod. I guess that’s kind of in house? I know the design is in good hands with many years of experience behind them.
Can’t wait to see what these guys come up with!peter rebuilt the back of the" sea ya later".....very happy with their work!
That’s awesome, that seems the only way I would make this boat fit on this trailer, there is a bit of adjustment on the axles and up front at the bow strap mount. If I can centre 9000lbs on 3 axles it should tow comfortably. The new aluminum I-beam trailers don’t seem to be configured for podded boats with outboards. I bought an aluminum triple axle 10,625 pound trailer from Word boats about 7 years ago. Paid $7000 US at the time. It was for my 2700 Seasport weighing around 7500 pounds. It is a beast of a trailer, I think if it was 2 feet shorter it would be perfect. The motors might hit the bunks LoL. Sandy is pretty competitive with most of the BC deals now. The price of diesel and labour makes it not cheap. He has to ship them from the east coast and does about 7 at a time pulled by a pickup, I can't see that being less than $1000 each. Roadrunner/Tuff and locally made should be pretty competitive.I bought an aluminum triple axle 10,625 pound trailer from Word boats about 7 years ago. Paid $7000 US at the time. The blue stuff is polybond. It’s a poly adhesive designed for marine applications like bonding fibreglass resin materials to each other, FRM to wood, hull/stringer joints, hull/deck joints, transoms, and compression areas up to 1/2.What’s the point to the blue stuff? Is it a glue or does it just make sure there’s no air in there after the glass goes on? Or none of the above
There will have to be some by the transom. The rest is separated with a bulkhead and will have foam, so no need to have any drainsThat stuff looks awsome. Reminds me of bearshit with way better consistency
My question is how come there's no drains in the stringers?
Yes, I will have to make some limber holes in the stringers at the transom, I haven’t made them yet because I want the stringers down Asap, might cost me more time in the end LoL. The boat is designed to drain right into the bilge, I won’t change that. Even if the cabin floods there is a nice path to the bilge for the water to flowWhat we called bear **** or gype back in the day was asbestos shorts and resin mixed together, guaranteed to shorten your life. Mixing it was bad enough but grinding it was nasty, wore a paper mask sometimes.Limber holes are in stringers to let any water filter down to the bilge.
I work with idiotsThanks for the explanation. I work with metal. Any other material is new to me.
