Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

I remember the first year they had that race. Canada's centennial year, Nanaimo wanted to do something memorable.
There was a short lived tub race up the Yukon River from Whitehorse to Dawson city. I entered it in a support boat with an outboard. There were a lot of gravel bars and by the time we were done there wasn't much of a skeg left.

Prince Rupert had one for many years, Frank Ney (mayor of Nanaimo that started the bathtub race idea) would come up and do his pirate thing, marshall the parade. Great fun.

So close and yet so far. The right hull, but this is the generation with the fuel tank glassed in and impossible to remove unless you bust out the sawzall. Also, the motors are not going to cut it.
