Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

The 20 hourstons of this vintage regularly trade in the low-mid 20s with mid time 4 stroke power. Theres very little value to the hull unless they are mint, which this is not. Anyone looking for a 20 hourston can do better than this imo.
This is beyond laughable, you rebuild one and then come say that…

Looks good, but also a bit odd. The pod job was by a previous owner but the present owner beefed things up. WTF does that mean?? I see now there's a few more pics than when it was listed yesterday. Maybe the present owner added the extra plywood to the bracket? And he's trying to create a bidding process....
Outfit in Sooke built the pod for the previous owner, they used a type of foam core. Not enough compressive strength so I replaced it with 2x 3/4” ply and a bunch of units of glass. Could hang a 450 off it now.

He should have invested in a couple bags of tie wraps, new positive battery wires and some screws for the battery switch that's dangling before posting it for sale. Definitely a project.
Not sure about you but I’ve always had to expose the back of the night switch to hook up new power, so why screw it back in? I’m all out of zip ties and the battery cables are fine, run a wire brush over em. Is there a boat that’s not a project? I have other projects to deal with, someone that knows will get a good deal…

2021 Defiance San Juan 220 with 200 in WA for $66k usd. Can someone give me the low down in the boats, just more plane jane finishing? How are the hulls? More but. It that much more than 25 year old trophy 2359s…

Let's get back to boats that are not projects.

A lot of professional work has gone into this, turn key cruiser for a small family.

1997 Bayliner 2452 ciera express

CA$23,500

Looks good on the outside, if you’re into that sort of rig. But anyone who thinks that I/O isn’t a never ending project hasn’t a clue, with all due respect.

Telling someone they do not have a clue is not respectful, let’s move on. A 1997 boat is an ongoing project and the ad demonstrate that to anyone that lots of maintenance has been done and lots will need to be done. My brother has owned a 2000 bayliner and done more recreational boating than 99% of people, boating 12 months a year. It’s had its maintenance issues just like my friends and I who have replaced outboards, except his leg and block have never been replaced. Yes there are people who have had terrible I/O issues. I do my best not to slam BC boats unless they are laughable and or in the USA since I know there are members on here and if not someone knows the owner.
