Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Nice! You have your boat set up well for your use. For a lot of people, myself included, a cruise speed of 20 knots is pretty slow, but obviously there are economical benefits to going slow.
Yeah, I can't stomach looking at the fuel being gobbled up when I open it up. Those slower turning SeaPros like about 3300 rpm cruise and I don't mind if it takes a little longer to get there. That being said, I still need to do a new speed graph workup to see where my best gallons per mile is but I suspect it is in the ballpark of where I am at now.

I love it the rare times when I'm not in a hurry, kids are sleeping, and I can go hull speed at 6mpg. That being said, I'm pretty happy that my new cruise is 22-23kn at over 3mpg and really happy when the conditions are perfect and I can get to the high 20's.

When spending 150k on a boat, like that Lifetimer that needs work, it would sure be nice to have the range and speed to do everything.

Been listed for a while and a member took a hard look at it. It’s something I would look at in 2-3 years but it would be a project. With their choice of power and not taking care of the paint issues it makes me think there will be lots of other things so I’d guesstimate 100k in work. Power can be resold pretty easily which is nice. Hopefully it is rated for 600hp so any big block 200-300 twins could be popped on there.
I’ve been in the exact same boat with 150s . I bet you’d be surprised how well it does. We weren’t offshore but had 10 or so guys on it in pretty snotty weather. It did a lot better than you’d think.

I’d be fine with double the power and the extra beam and extra foot and a half of length. The range loss would be painful but I’d love a bunch of the other features. If only interest rates were back in the old days, I’d try some boat math, but right now the only math I can do is how much to put in the side bet tomorrow!
