Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

It's what they are asking not sure how many overpriced boats are moving right now? It will be interesting to see boat show pricing in January with tons of manufactures offering 20k discounts to try and move 2024 products.

Wonder what people thoughts are on the Kingfisher Destinations? They have the 9'6" beam but seem to ride pretty light getting over 2.5mpg at cruise. Seems like a reasonable trade off, efficiency vs comfort if you have a couple of suspension seats?

I have an 06 KF. Love it. Just repowered 3 weeks ago. I bought it use in 08 with 100 hours on the motors. Fully loaded, electronics, AP, downriggers, kicker, TR1, King trailer........$87,000.00.
It was purchased new in 06 for $97k.

What model? A friend and member raves about his 3025 and I think the extra beam of the 9’6” would be a nice upgrade from my 8’6” which is still pretty good.

I was liking the one about that year that was for sale in CR with a new 300hp, I think it was about 150k it isn’t listed now, not sure if it sold.

Mine is an offshore destination. 9'-6 beam. There are better boats out there as many on here will jump in and tell you but for liveability it's tough to beat.

I hear it too, about my boat. My brother loves his 1925 King Fisher and it catches more fish and goes like stink with less power than most boats.

I'm coming around to both the build and efficiency of kingfishers. Thanks for update on your soon to be 20-year-old boat, sounds amazing.

I'm thinking 1/8thers 150k usd each, after luxury tax etc., what's that 400k CAD these days?

It's tough with a new-to-me prop coming from a member that has been tested to get 3.7 mpg at 23 mph on my boat when lightly loaded. .8mpg just doesn't excite me like it should.
It left the bldg yesterday, let me know how it goes

Kind of explains why you like it, same boat today would be 250k ???

what is that strap looking piece between hull and topsides?
the strap is a hard vinyl rub rail that was available in the time period the boat was built.I built a 35 foot fiberglass commercial boat in 1990 and went to the Seattle boat show that year and saw a boat with that rub rail and was able to go to the builder in Bellingham and buy enough to do my boat.Worked very well to protect the edge from wear and tear and was malleable enough when heated to follow the curve of the hull and bend around the stern. Drilled and bolted on. Don't know if it is still available. Cheers🎅

No ,he meant the aluminum piece that is bolted to the hull /deck,not the shear trim/rub rail.

Nice Kingfisher in Sidney, “new” electronics in 2020. Not sure if even the broker will be shameless enough to call trailer work that was done 5 years ago “new” on January 1 2025. Regardless nice low hours.
